Aquilegias are currently in bloom and look great!
AQUILEGIAS are very easy to grow from purchased seed, or seed collected from plants after flowering. There is quite a variety of colours available. They appear year after year.

A Portlaw Woodpecker!
Visiting our garden many times last year, he was seldom seen in the early months of this year. However, for the past week he has appeared several times daily, even at 9.00 pm and 10 pm some days, feeding off two different nut dispensers. He then flies to a palm tree a few yards away, and appears to embed the nut pieces into the bark. If you want to purchase a nut dispenser, the one shown is recommended. They do not rust and can be tied to overhead branches with twine or garden wire. When re-filling, simply unscrew the base! Photographer - grandson Kieran.
