The death has occurred of Mikey Joe Tangney, Black Valley, Co. Kerry, in a Kenmare nursing home yesterday. Full details on rip.ie.
Mikey Joe was extremely well known to scores of Waterford and Tipperary people from Waterford An Óige, Comeragh Mountaineering Cub, also Waterford and Carrick Camera Clubs. over a lengthy period from approx. 1971, who visited Black Valley, and stayed in the local hostel. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé!  Pleasant memories of a trip I organised from Carrick Camera Club thirteen years ago. |
